2nd World War Bomb Near Thames: closed London City Airport

The London City Airport has been closed following the detonation of a 2nd World War Bomb near the Thames River.
A spokesman said 16 thousand passengers have been affected because the airport is closed and all flights have been canceled.

The London Metropolitan Police reported that the bomb was found on Sunday at George V Dock, at East London Airport.
The bomb detected at about 10 o’clock last night, the city police said that it is working with the state navy to remove it.

A total of 261 Arrivals and departures have been postponed till Monday, according to the airport website.
Earlier, 130 flights were canceled.

Since the airport is closed, there is no need to go there and contact their airline companies.
